Melanie L. Brown is a Media Specialist, Photojournalist, Actress, Speaker and Spoken Word Artist from the south side of Chicago. Melanie has performed in events for Donald Lawrence’s, Tye Tribett, Father Pfleger, PASS organization and many more. Melanie has worked with Rhymefest, Malik Yusef, Bone Thugs N’ Harmony, Lupe Fiasco, and Dr. Leon Finney just to name a few. She also has been an abstinence motivational speaker and was a guest on the Steve Harvey Show where she talked about being a virgin at the age of 28. She tells women and men (young and old) how it is ok to be a virgin even still today. Melanie has worked for Chicago Public Schools for 5 years and WVON 1690AM as an Executive Producer for Mark Wallace, Rhymefest and Robin Robinson. Melanie currently works on the Empire show as an Empire Employee, as a Technical Director for Rev. Jesse Jackson's tv shows for the Word Network, various photography/video projects through her company and reports with various publications as a Media Activist. Melanie has won an activist award last year as well.
